I love weaving (that’s what I’m doing on this photo)

About Karo

I was born in Poland, grew up, lived and studied there and at 23 I moved to Sydney, initially for a short period of time.. I liked it there and kept on staying. I’m 30 now and have spent 7 years in Australia.

I was always a keen creative and an arts person and have been freelancing for over 10 years now within that industry.

I found my passion in combining arts and my natural curiosity for human condition. Arts psychotherapy helped me navigate challenging relationships (also with myself) and help me manage my physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. I now facilitate sessions and offer my presence and energy to people who are seeking support in their challenges.

I studied Arts Psychotherapy for 3 years and graduated with a bachelor degree. I am a member of ANZACATA and hold all required for my work checks.

Arts Therapy

The process looks like this: you reach out, we have an initial chat during which I ask questions about your goals, your wants, needs and challenges. I gather some relevant information and may ask about your lifestyle, family and other relations, your day to day life or health history. It’s all confidential, so your details are safe with me.

We agree on a date and time to meet, either online or in-person. I send you a service agreement to sign so that we both feel comfortable. At this stage, I meet my clients in various spaces: in meeting rooms at SAIT (SA Integrated Therapies on 225 Grote street), at Inside Arts studio in Clarendon in the Adelaide Hills, in meeting rooms in libraries or other public spaces. Sometimes I meet people in their homes, all depending on person’s circumstances and level of comfort and safety.

When we meet, we chat, explore, experience and play.
I will bring a whole array of art materials and media to try out. We will likely breathe and move. At your pace. You don’t have to be good at art to engage with any of this.

Feel free to ask me any questions you might have.
